These gloves feature a winding central cable motif, framed by twisted knit and purl stitches on back of the hand. I set out to design a pair that’s simple, attractive, and enjoyable to knit, perfect for everyday wear. Worked in Jamieson’s of Shetland yarn, they have a beautifully rustic texture and provide warmth and durability that will last for years.

Construction

The gloves are worked from the bottom up. The back of the hand features a 4-stitch central cable, while the palm is worked in smooth stockinette stitch.
